KRAZAN understands your apprehensions, which is why we have developed the PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Program. We want to prepare entry-level professionals for successful careers. To be successful in the "real world", you need training and experience that goes beyond what you learned in a classroom setting. You also need hands-on experience and guidance from seasoned professionals. We know that employees who are secure, confident, and well trained will keep us at the top of our industry. For these reasons, KRAZAN has developed our technology and management (PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT) program. Is the PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Program right for me? If you are interested in a successful future in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Construction Quality Control, or Geotechnical Engineering with one of the best and fastest growing West Coast companies in the country, you can't afford to pass up our PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Program. In 24 months, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT members can gain the skills necessary to boost their careers at KRAZAN. They graduate from the program with better technical knowledge, a well-rounded view of the company, excellent management and marketing skills, and an excellent career. If you are willing to take the initiative to receive this kind of focused training, the PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Program is definitely right for you. Am I right for the PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Program? KRAZAN representatives conduct on-campus recruiting and interviews at the branch and corporate levels to select career-motivated people with technical backgrounds. But you must be willing to work hard and invest some personal time to be an Industry Leader. It is not an accident; leaders prepare and achieve it just like successful athletes. Once I'm accepted into the Program, am I on my own? Absolutely not! You will be assigned a career mentor and a liaison. Your mentor will be invaluable in helping to guide and manage your overall career development. Your department manager will usually be your training mentor. This person will help you with your day-to-day technical and leadership training. Your liaison will be a member of KRAZAN's corporate team, who will serve as a confidant outside your immediate chain of command. The PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Program is a valuable stepping-stone for our future professionals and Industry Leaders. What exactly is involved once I'm accepted? After you become a PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT member, you will have access to a curriculum that is designed to help you grow within KRAZAN. The following is an overview of the PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Program process. . . . Technical Training Throughout the program, you will learn many technical processes in your area of specialization. This will require that you spend much of your time in the field gaining practical experience. You will also have the opportunity to work briefly as a technician in order to learn the nuances of each technical process. Technical training will be particularly applicable in the first year of your employment. On-the-Job Training The On-the-Job Training portion of the program will help you learn many essential aspects of our business. You will become adept at many technical functions, and you will acquire supervisory skills from senior engineers and management professionals. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Training Industry training is an essential part of the program. Knowing how to interact effectively with clients and other employees in a professional manner is just as important to your success as your technical knowledge. Within the first few months, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT members will attend an orientation program at our corporate office. Then, about twice a year, they will attend workshops and seminars in the areas of management, administration, and marketing. Self Study PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT members will also complete self-study module assignments, which will be reviewed by the Human Resources Director. This provides you with yet another way of developing skills and knowledge through evaluation and feedback from senior-level management. Declaring a Career Path A crucial step during the PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Program is declaring a career path. After about a year of standardized field work and course work, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT members, with the advice of their mentors, will decide whether to specialize in either a managerial, technical, professional, or business development career path. Their curricula will then become more focused in that area of specialization. When you graduate from the PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Program in about 24 months, you will be well on your way to becoming a top professional in one of KRAZAN's branch offices or divisions. Although there is the possibility for relocation, every effort will be made to keep PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT members located within their chosen area of the country.
